Applying to Certification

After attending both the Center’s Mind-Body Medicine Professional Training and Advanced Training you can apply to the Certification program. If you haven’t attended these programs, please go directly to the Mind-Body Medicine professional training page, or read more about the Certification process.

Certification fee is $3,900 which includes 18 hours of supervision, review of 3 papers and tuition for second Advanced Training (without hotel or travel). This can be broken into as many as 12 monthly payments if needed. However, the fee needs to be paid in full before attending the second Advanced Training.

Filling out the Certification application does not guarantee acceptance. In an effort to facilitate a positive experience for its program attendees, CMBM reserves the right to remove from attendance and from enrollment at any current or upcoming CMBM event or activity, anyone whose actions, in CMBM's discretion and judgment, are disruptive or would interfere with the program or the attendees. In such circumstances, CMBM retains the discretion to grant or withhold refunds of registration fees, in full or in part.

Before applying into Certification do the following:

  • Choose a picture of yourself to include with your application. You will upload this file during registration. So, if the picture is not already in digital format, you'll need to scan it. Most photo development centers can assist you in creating a digital version of an existing print if needed. The digital picture needs to be a GIF or JPG, and a minimum of 150 pixels wide. Larger is better. Max file size allowed is 10 MB.
     
  • Write a personal essay. Be sure to include:
    a) Your name and date of application b) How you use mind-body medicine in your personal life;
    c) Your current work situation;
    d) Challenges that you’ve encountered in your work and how you’ve handled them;
    e) Personal adversity that you’ve encountered and how you have handled it;
    f) Your personal strengths and weaknesses.
     
    Files compatible with our systems are PDF, DOC, TXT and RTF.
     
  • If you have completed group supervision as part of a scholarship/grant, please email us the filled out "Report on group supervision hours and small groups" and wait to receive an application code before proceeding.
