Aproteem Choudhury is a Center for Mind Body Medicine Certified Mind-Body Skills Facilitator and leads a Mind-Body Skills Group as part of the Encourage Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Recently, Aproteem has become a co-leader with EnCourage and is now present for the entire duration of the IOP to integrate trauma sensitive mind body practices and mindfulness as additional means to support your growth.
When he is not leading groups with EnCourage, Aproteem serves as the Mind Body Spirit Institute (MBSI) Associate at The Jung Center of Houston, where he works closely with MBSI Founder and Director Dr. Alejandro Chaoul to teach individuals and organizations to reduce stress and burnout, improve health and resilience, and nourish the human spirit. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from the University of Texas at Dallas and has five years of experience as a researcher from his time at the Department of Psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine, and the Michael E. Debakey Veterans Affairs Hospital. Following Hurricane Harvey, Aproteem got involved with the Greater Houston Healing Collaborative, an initiative supported by the Center for Mind Body Medicine (CMBM) and got his start doing group work with those touched by Harvey.
