Laurie Kalter, MPA, CMBM certified, has more than 40 years of experience in the health care field and retired from the University of California, San Francisco in June 2019 after 23 years in clinical and medical education settings. She is faculty for the Center for Mind Body Medicine and provides supervision as well as participates in trainings: (VA VISN 8 in Florida, the Shasta community in California and the Las Vegas, Nevada community). She leads Mind Body online groups for the Center, and as a private consultant. Laurie led Mind-Body Medicine groups for faculty, staff and veterans at the SF Veteran’s Health Care Administration, the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine for parents of chronically ill children and the UCSF Student Health Center. She currently leads sessions for UCSF medical students. Laurie is interested in social justice and volunteered at the San Quentin State Prison in California. She has experience in the field of substance abuse as a counselor and program manager. Laurie received her BA in Psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo and her Master’s in Public Administration, from the University of New Mexico.
