Laurie Kalter, MPA San Francisco, CA, USA
Laurie Kalter, MPA, has more than 40 years of experience in the health care field and worked for the University of California, San Francisco for the past 23 years in clinical and medical education settings. She is faculty for the CMBM and has participated in trainings for the VISN 8 VA in Florida and for the Shasta community in California.
Laurie retired in June 2019 as a Program Manager for the SF Veteran’s Health Care Administration, where she led Mind-Body Medicine groups for faculty, staff and veterans and coordinated the Mind-Body Program for the SFVA. She has also led a Mind-Body group through the UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Medicine for parents of chronically ill children. Laurie is interested in social justice and volunteers at San Quentin State Prison in California. She has experience in the field of substance abuse as a counselor and program manager.
Laurie received her BA in Psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo and her Master’s in Public Administration, from the University of New Mexico. She is adept at working with a diverse group of adults and is passionate about leading mind-body medicine groups. Laurie has many years of experience as a practitioner of wholistic healing modalities and uses her intuition and compassion for effective outcomes.
