Patricia A. Van Kley, PhD is owner and supervising psychologist of a private practice in Perrysburg, Ohio. She is a licensed psychologist with over 30 years of experience in residential, community, private and academic settings. She has studied Relational/Cultural therapy at the Stone Center at Wellesley College and for the past 20 years has pursued the study of Vispassana meditation. In her work at a residential facility for adolescent boys she developed and implemented a family therapy program and established exercise and nutrition programs as an integral part of the treatment. Pat is a faculty member of the CMBM’s Mind-Body Medicine Fundamentals training and Advanced Mind-Body Medicine training. She is a clinical supervisor for candidates enrolled in CMBM’s certification program and is an adjunct faculty member in the College of Mind-Body Medicine at Saybrook University. In collaboration with Jose’ Calderone-Abbo, M.D. she developed and taught a course in Mindfulness Meditation and Health for Saybrook University. Dr. Van Kley incorporates mind/body medicine into her practice with individuals, couples and families as well as conducting Mind-Body Skills groups. She conducts mind/body/spirit weekend and day long retreats and facilitates book study groups focusing on the works of Pema Chodron, Jack Kornfield, and Brene’ Brown.
