After practicing family medicine in a rural Kentucky community for 30 years, John now offers consultations helping people integrate conventional medicine with safe, effective complementary approaches. He has taught University of Kentucky medical student wellness courses for 16 years. He now teaches family practice residents in a busy university outpatient clinic. In the classroom, the outpatient clinic and the consultation office, he teaches lifestyle practices that help manage stress, restore a sense of personal control, enhance well-being and safely manage symptoms of chronic conditions. He emphasizes experiential education that helps mobilize inner resources by integrating mind, body, spirit and our relationship with each other and the earth. John’s mission is to educate, inspire and positively transform the lives of helping professionals and all those they serve.
