Susan introduced Mind Body Skills Groups to the Community Mental Health Center for Mid Eastern Iowa (CMHC). She runs groups throughout the year that are open to CMHC clients as well as the public. Group members deal with concerns such as panic and phobias, depression, disordered eating, social anxiety, chronic illness, grief and caregiver stress. In addition to leading mind-body skills groups, Susan combines traditional psychotherapy with mind-body techniques in her work with individuals, couples and families. She brings a wellness philosophy into her counseling practice. Susan has a special interest in integrative and mind-body interventions to help people deal with difficult issues such as trauma and chronic illness. Susan also presents workshops for the public in mind-body skills.
