Carol Jacobs is a member of the CMBM Faculty. She has led CMBM trainings across the globe—in Macedonia and Kosovo, in New York City following 9/11, and in Broward County following the school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Certified in Mind-Body Medicine, she also teaches in CMBM’s Professional Training Programs.

Carol is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience as an integrative psychotherapist. She has a private practice in Ashland, where she integrates CMBM’s Mind-Body Skills into an approach that includes the psychological underpinnings of Carl Jung and Marion Woodman’s work. She uses verbal exploration, guided imagery, movement, dream work, and creative therapeutic expression to help her patients dissolve and ease their emotional, spiritual, and physical trauma. Carol is currently Senior Faculty for the Innerwork Center in Richmond, and she also facilitates workshops and retreats that encourage connections between mind, body, and spirit. She has also served as the President of the Fredericksburg Mental Health Association.

Carol earned her BS from Lycoming College, and her MSW from the Catholic University of America. In addition to her professional life, Carol is married and has 4 children.  She is also trained as a classical pianist, and has presented recitals in Italy, the Bahamas, and the US. She had the honor of being chosen to perform in the Van Cliburn Amateur Piano Competition in Fort Worth, Texas.
