Lori Lombardo is a member of the CMBM Faculty and Supervision Team. Certified in Mind-Body Medicine, she facilitates Mind-Body Skills Groups for veterans and their caregivers, and incorporates the CMBM model into psychotherapy and health coaching sessions.
Lori is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach specializing in integrative health and wellness for veterans and their caregivers. Her clinical expertise includes trauma, addiction, the recovery model, serious mental illness, and caregiver burden. Lori is trained in multiple evidence-based treatment modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, and Positive Psychology. She is a trained Veteran Affairs (VA) Whole Health Provider with experience serving on regional and local VA Whole Health Committees and as a VA Whole Health Education Coordinator.
Lori earned her BA in Psychology from the University of Arizona and MSW from the University of West Florida. She has presented her research on the veteran experience with serious mental illness and psychotherapeutic treatment methods at conferences and events. In her spare time, Lori enjoys connecting with family and friends, spoiling her fur babies, taking walks, practicing Italian, listening to inspiring podcasts, traveling, and spending time at the white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico.
