Laurie Kalter is a member of the CMBM Faculty and Supervision Team. Certified in Mind-Body Medicine, she has participated in national and international trainings, and has led Mind-Body Skills Groups both in-person and online.

Laurie has more than 40 years of experience in the healthcare field and worked for the University of California, San Francisco for 23 years in clinical and medical education settings. Up until her retirement in June 2019, Laurie led Mind-Body Skills Groups for faculty, staff, and veterans as a Project Coordinator for the San Francisco Veterans Health Care Administration. She also coordinated the Mind-Body Program for the SFVA. She has also worked with the parents of chronically-ill children through the UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Medicine. Laurie has volunteered at San Quentin State Prison in California, and has experience as a substance abuse counselor and program manager.

Laurie earned her BA in Psychology from SUNY Buffalo and MPA from the University of New Mexico. She is a trained Whole Health Coach through VA and works with faculty and staff. Laurie is adept at working with a diverse group of adults and is passionate about leading Mind-Body Skills Groups. She has many years of experience as a practitioner of holistic healing modalities and uses her intuition and compassion for effective outcomes.
