Matthew Lombard, JD is a member of the CMBM Board of Directors.
Throughout his career in law, Matthew Lombard has successfully negotiated pre-indictment and post-indictment pleas throughout his work handling civil and criminal cases. He’s received a number of not guilty verdicts in jury trials and has had numerous cases dismissed via effective pre-trial motions.
“For me, the goal is helping the client return to a sense of normalcy as soon as possible,” says Matthew when asked about the driving force behind what he does. As the son of a Civil Rights Activist, justice and equality is something that runs deep in the Lombard family, and Matthew’s passion – and Lombard Law’s mission – is to spread justice like rolling rivers.
As a graduate of George Washington University School of Law with his JD, Matthew began his career only shortly after he received his BA from Colgate University in Hamilton, New York. While in law school, Matthew was chosen from a large pool of candidates to serve on the Terry L. Nichols Defense Team in Denver, Colorado. From there, he proceeded to serve at the highly-regarded Public Defender Service in Washington, D.C.
Matthew served in that role for a number of years before moving to Los Angeles in 2004 where he assumed the role of a federal public defender. When Matthew founded Lombard Law in 2006, he had no idea how many people he’d have a chance to help. And while every case is different, and worthy to be handled with the utmost attention due to a case’s unique challenges, Matthew and the team at Lombard Law have proven themselves capable and successful of restoring peace of mind to their clients.
