Dr. Jennifer Phelps is a member of the CMBM Faculty. She leads Mind-Body Skills Groups and supervises certification candidates. Dr. Phelps is certified in Mind-Body Medicine.
With 30 years of experience as a physician in wellness, self-care and integrative medicine, Dr. Phelps is a well respected speaker and mentor for health professionals. She is the founder of Phelps MD Integrative Medicine, a consultancy dedicated to nutritional, botanical, and functional medicine as well as trauma therapy. She assists others in finding their own inner healer and transformative narratives. Dr. Phelps has created a circle model for preparation and integration for harm reduction in psychedelic medicine and works with individuals and groups in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy.
Dr. Phelps earned her BS in Biochemistry from University of California, Davis and her MS in Toxicology/Pharmacology from the University of Arizona. She went on to earn her MD from Medical College of Pennsylvania and completed her Family Medicine Residency at Montgomery Family Practice Residency Program in Norristown, PA. Dr. Phelps also completed a fellowship in Integrative Medicine through the University of Arizona. Dr. Phelps is board certified in Family Medicine and Integrative Medicine, and also holds a certification in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy and Research from the California Institute of Integral Studies. Outside of medicine, she is passionate about cooking, gardens, meditation, music, and nature.
