JoAnne Riegert, PhD, LPCC Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Minnesota, USA
Dr. JoAnne Riegert is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, and a Nationally Certified Counselor who works in community-based settings in rural, northern Minnesota. She is married and has three adult children. She is a 1st generation tribal descendant, and lives on the White Earth Indian Reservation. Her focus professionally and personally, is serving Native American Communities. Dr. JoAnne has professional training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Indigenous Restorative Justice Circle Process, Suicide Prevention/Intervention, Grief and Loss, and Men’s Domestic Violence Re-education. In addition, she is a Licensed Clinical Supervisor; her emphasis in this role is to educate and train new clinicians, guided by the Seven Grandfather Teachings of the Anishinaabe. She facilitates mind-body medicine groups in rural communities and integrates these skills into her personal life and clinical roles. Dr. JoAnne received her PhD in Counseling Education and Supervision from North Dakota State University.
