Jeya Aerenson, OMD, LAc Eugene, OR, USA
Jeya Aerenson, OMD, LAc, BA (Social Work) has been providing acupuncture and integrative therapies since 1993. In addition to her private practice, Jeya works with the Trauma Healing Project in Eugene OR offering acupuncture and facilitating Mind-Body Skills groups. She has done trauma relief using community-style acupuncture after natural disasters in the US and Mexico since Hurricane Katrina in 2005. She founded the Oaxaca AcuProject which trains rural healthcare workers in Mexico about PTSD and how to mobilize clinics after natural disasters and other crises.
Jeya has taught acupuncture, mind-body skills, and qi gong at the Department of Psychology at the University of Oregon, the University of Arizona Program in Integrative Medicine, and the Department of Medicine at the Benito Juarez University in Oaxaca, Mexico. She spent 8 years providing acupuncture and Chinese herbal consultations in the medical department at Canyon Ranch in Tucson before moving to Eugene, Oregon where she currently resides. She combined her love of dance with her passion for wellness to co-create SoulChiSa which integrates Mind-Body practices with Cuban music and movement.
In discovering the Center for Mind-Body Medicine and becoming certified, Jeya has found a way to deepen her personal growth while sharing life changing skills with others and building community.
