
Dr. Weisman is a member of the CMBM Faculty and Supervision Team. She leads the initiative to bring Mind-Body Medicine to the state of Nevada and runs Mind-Body Medicine Skills groups at the Kerkorian School of Medicine, for UNLV and the greater Nevada community. She is certified in Mind-Body Medicine.
Dr. Weisman has a PhD and Master’s degree in Public Health with an emphasis on Social & Behavioral Health. With over 20 years of experience as a massage therapist and researcher, she is an expert in integrative medicine, hospice and palliative care, and public health. She brings her perspective from many years of clinical hospice work and public health training together and has presented at national and international conferences.
Dr. Weisman earned her B.A. in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and went on to earn her M.P.H. and Ph.D. in Public Health with an emphasis in Social and Behavioral Health also from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She began working at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine in 2015 and currently serves as an Associate Professor and is the Director of Well-Being and Integrative Medicine. Dr. Weisman loves cooking, eating, snowboarding, traveling, learning guitar, playing car karaoke, and spending time with her family.
