Jennifer Seager, SPHR, LGSW, is delighted to be The Center for Mind Body Medicine’s Human Resources Manager. Inspired by the mission, she is committed to supporting the people who do the work.
Jennifer brings 20+ years of experience in the nonprofit sector to her role, along with experience as a mental health clinician and an adjunct professor. Prior to joining CMBM, Jennifer served as a Program Director for multiple nonprofits in Washington DC and in New York City. While in these roles, Jennifer realized the significance that Human Resources can have in achieving organizational success, and the bridges she built to connect employees more deeply to each other and to the mission inspired her to shift more deeply into the field. As CMBM’s HR Manager, Jennifer looks forward to weaving the organization’s culture into its policies and procedures; strengthening communication systems; creating initiatives to attract, develop, and retain employees and contractors; and ensuring that CMBM stays up to date with HR laws and best practices.
Jennifer is a proud mother, grandmother, and godmother who calls the woods her happy place. In her free time, you can find her taking a walk in the woods, when she’s not cheering alongside her husband at a Philadelphia Eagles game. Jennifer has a master’s degree in social work from Columbia University, a social work license in DC and Maryland, and a Senior Professional in Human Resources certificate.
