Kathy Condor is the Director of Health and Human Services for the Allegany College of Maryland Center for Continuing Education and Workforce Development in Cumberland, Maryland. She oversees more than 300 board-accredited trainings annually and has recently managed three significant grants in partnership with The Center for Mind-Body Medicine.
The college has a longstanding partnership with the Center and continues to refine and share a community college-based model to disseminate Mind-Body Skills to employees, students, and communities. Bringing Mind-Body Skills to K-12 students is a particular passion for Kathy and she has focused on running groups for teachers and counselors in the local public school system.
In addition to higher education, Condor’s professional experience includes finance, marketing, teaching and running her own successful business. Kathy is certified in the LEAN Bronze body of knowledge and by the Center for Mind-Body Medicine. She has a strong calling to service leadership.
Kathy is very active in her community and has held leadership positions with The Greater Cumberland Committee, The Allegany Arts Council, The City of Cumberland Historic Preservation Commission, The Western Maryland Heritage Association, The Community Resilience Network, Healing Allegany, The Allegany County Woman’s Action Coalition, and the Power of 32. She serves on numerous college committees and is a 2011 graduate of Leadership Allegany!, a local civic leadership training program.
Kathy now resides in LaVale, Maryland with her husband Chuck. Together they enjoy spending time with their three adult sons and taking advantage of the many cultural and recreational resources of beautiful Mountain Maryland.
