My name is Koosha Jafari. For nearly a decade, I have worked with communities through NGOs and educational and trauma-informed initiatives in Iran, Afghanistan, and, internationally. My work has focused on creating trauma-informed educational programs, resilience workshops, and group settings that help individuals and communities better understand the impact of trauma and reconnect with their inner strengths.
Among the different trauma-informed approaches I have studied and practiced, Mind-Body Medicine has had the deepest impact on my own life. Before it became part of my professional work, it became part of my personal journey. Through the CMBM approach, I experienced firsthand how reconnecting with the body, cultivating self-awareness, and healing within a supportive group can foster meaningful and lasting change.
Today, I facilitate Mind-Body Skills Groups with diverse communities, creating safe and compassionate spaces where participants can strengthen emotional regulation, resilience, and connection with themselves and others. In addition to facilitating groups, I serve as a CMBM Supervisor, supporting and mentoring new facilitators throughout their training and professional development.
I believe that healing is a process we make possible by creating spaces where people feel safe enough to rediscover their own capacity for growth, resilience, and hope.
I am now based in Germany and work internationally with diverse communities using the CMBM (Mind-Body Medicine) model.
