Liliana Cajiao-Castro, MD

Liliana Cajiao-Castro is an international medical graduate from Colombia, South America, and a certified alumnus of the Center for Mind-Body Medicine.

Dr. Cajiao-Castro earned her medical degree from the Universidad de Antioquia in Colombia and now volunteers with medical teams at immigrant shelters and low-cost clinics in Tucson, Arizona. Additionally, she facilitates Mind-Body Skills Groups (MBSG) for immigrant women from Latin America and Native American women. She has also facilitated Mind-Body Medicine activities for youth at the American Indian Youth Wellness Camp program from the University of Arizona.

She has a deep passion for understanding and addressing the health disparities that minorities, particularly indigenous communities, face. This has motivated her to pursue a certificate in Indigenous Health at the University of Arizona.

In her free time, Dr. Cajiao-Castro enjoys spending time with her family and cats, traveling, hiking, painting with watercolors, building with Lego, and dancing.
