Dr. Linda Métayer is the Country Director of CMBM Haiti and a member of the CMBM Faculty. She coordinates the CMBM’s program across Haiti, and is certified in Mind-Body Medicine

As a psychologist with 25 years of professional experience, Dr. Métayer helps clients and communities create open and safe environments for themselves and for others. She is an expert in teaching self-care, communication, and resilience skills to corporate teams, educators, and health professionals. Dr. Métayer works across the country with victims of rape, kidnapping, emotional abuse, and life injuries of all kinds, and also trains parents in non-violent parenting. She works with a team of twenty therapists to treat trauma using mind-body approaches across Haiti. She is also a dynamic public and motivational speaker, who has presented at many well-respected panels and conferences.

Dr. Métayer earned her MA in Psychology from the University of Franche-Comté and her PhD from Thierry School of Leadership in Belgium. She is currently working towards an MSc from the University of Montréal. In addition to her work as a psychologist, Dr. Métayer is a psychotherapist, specializing in EMDR and couples therapy. She is a member of the Academic Council of the University of Notre-Dame d’Haïti (UNDH) and is a professor of psychology at the Université d’État d’Haïti (UEH). In her spare time, Dr. Métayer enjoys cooking, writing, listening to music, and spending time with her family.
