Marisa is a social worker with a Masters in Mind Body Medicine from Saybrook University. Her specialties including working with older adults, caregivers of individuals with dementia or other chronic, long-term illnesses, individuals with chronic pain, depression, anxiety and/or PTSD. She is currently not facilitating Mind Body Skills Groups, but has experience with them, particularly with caregivers of individuals with chronic health conditions. Regarding individual work, Marisa has a very small practice and is working with clients virtually only. She does not work with any insurances at this time.
In addition to her clinical work, Marisa loves gardening everyday if possible, all animals, big and small, goes hiking or sitting in nature for relaxation and stress reduction and knits obsessively. Her home is filled with plants and one very spoiled cat – Maggie or Princess Margaret as she likes to call her.
