Melanie is a nurse leader and educator with more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, including 25 years in executive leadership roles across Indiana’s long-term acute care and senior health systems. Throughout her career, she has witnessed firsthand the profound effects of chronic stress and trauma on patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
Melanie is certified Mind-Body Medicine practitioner and serves as an ACE Interface Master Trainer, helping individuals and organizations understand the science of stress and build practical skills for healing and resilience. She is the co-founder of Ignite Wellbeing, LLC, a company dedicated to equipping people and organizations with evidence-based tools for self-awareness, emotional regulation, and stress reduction. She also leads MHF Consulting, supporting care transition strategies and system-level improvements across the health continuum.
Melanie brings a deep passion for empowering individuals—especially caregivers and professionals navigating complex environments—with the skills to manage stress, promote healing, and enhance well-being. She is a graduate of DePauw University, a Tobias Leadership Fellow through Indiana University, and an active member in her community.
