Raquel Tara McCarthy has been a dedicated member of the Programs Team since 2019. She collaborates on several institutional, educational, and community projects, including the Indiana Department of Corrections, and also served as an integral part of the project in Ukraine in 2023. She began her work in Puerto Rico, where she participated in the mental health recovery of the island after Hurricane Maria.
McCarthy previously worked with government agencies, Assmca and FEMA, which helped lead her to her passion for trauma recovery. Having survived the hurricane, she committed to practicing and teaching trauma-relief skills, and worked with CMBM to bring relief to the affected communities.
