Bishop Rob Lyons is a member of the CMBM Faculty and Supervision Team. Certified in Mind-Body Medicine, he leads both online and in-person Mind-Body Skills Groups and manages the Eskenazi Health Hoosier Heartland Healing Collaborative.
Bishop Rob is the Manager of the Eskenazi Health Center for Spiritual Care and Education in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he collaborates with his team to deliver chaplaincy, mind-body medicine, and music therapy to patients, families, and staff. In addition to direct patient care and management responsibilities, he also supervises student chaplains engaged in clinical pastoral education. Bishop Rob views the human experience through the lens of journey, and is deeply committed to accompanying others with authenticity of spirit along the path. He sees the framework provided by mind-body medicine as a means of entering into sacred places along the way, developing a fuller understanding of self, developing resilience, and experiencing liberation from the shackles of the past.
Bishop Rob earned his MDiv from Saint Alcuin House Seminary, and has been in ordained ministry since 1997. In 2022, he was ordained as bishop, and currently serves as Auxiliary Bishop for the American Catholic Communities. He lives with his family in Greenwood, Indiana. He enjoys science fiction (especially Star Trek), backpacking, nature photography, and scale modeling.
