Sheila Bauer is a member of the CMBM Faculty and Supervision Team. She leads in-person and online Mind-Body Skills Groups and is certified in Mind-Body Medicine.
Sheila is a licensed Parent & Family Educator with Eastern Carver County Schools in Minnesota and has led educational and various professional groups for over 25 years. Immersed in the field of education, she is a formerly elected school board member. Now, Sheila serves as a Regional Faculty Supervisor at the University of Minnesota and provides support for students seeking teaching licensure. She also leads professional development training for educators on the topics of trauma-informed teaching and adverse childhood experiences. Sheila previously worked with the University of Minnesota Extension Service, where she supported and collaborated with domestic violence centers and sentence-to-serve programs. Sheila was also a member of Prevent Child Abuse Minnesota’s Speakers Bureau, now known as Family Wise Services.
Sheila earned her BA in Women’s Studies and MEd from the University of Minnesota. She has a particular affinity for teaching mind-body skills to parents, children, and educational professionals. She loves fiercely, dances joyfully, and laughs easily.
