Over the past 25+ years I have worked as a therapist with individuals and groups, engaging children, adolescents and adults. I specialize in addressing depression, anxiety, grief, loss and trauma, and applying psychological first aid in crisis situations. I run Mind-Body Skills/Self-Care groups for women. In all my clinical work, I bring a wide variety of therapeutic techniques designed to enrich and strengthen each person’s inherent health, well-being and power. Being a practitioner of mindfulness-awareness meditation for the past 30 years, I have pioneered applying mindfulness-based methods in many therapeutic settings over the years. I have engaged children, adolescents, adults, teachers, and corporate leaders in individual and group mindfulness – meditation practices designed to awaken the mind’s natural health at: University of Pennsylvania, Swarthmore College, Philadelphia Federal Detention Center, GlaxcoSmithKline, Charter schools in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, Temple University, Cape Cod Institute, Philips Health Care Corporation and The Mindful Leadership Conference in New Delhi, India. As a trained yoga instructor, a certified Meditation Instructor and certified in Mind-Body Medicine, I am delighted to bring these cutting edge methods to my private practice to help clients embrace a personal path to healing and renewed psychological health.
