Earlier this month, we kicked off the second phase of our Hope and Healing in Ukraine program, organized and implemented in partnership with Pact on a USAID-funded Public Health System Recovery & Resilience Activity. During this intensive training phase—which included our Professional Training Program and Advanced Training Program in Mind-Body Medicine—a team of CMBM Faculty and Staff trained 150 Ukrainian clinicians, educators, and community leaders. During eight days of training, participants experienced our groundbreaking model for healing population-wide trauma, explored more than a dozen evidence-based mind-body skills for self-care, and learned to use these skills with others in individual, small group, and classroom settings. After completing training, participants returned to their communities to share these same healing tools with the children and adults they serve.
In the days ahead, we look forward to sharing more detailed updates and insights from our most recent trip to Ukraine. In the meantime, we’re pleased to share a some snapshots from the second phase of our Hope and Healing for Ukraine work.
Stay tuned for more updates!
