Transforming Childhood Trauma Using Mind-Body Skills

July 26, 2018

The Center for Mind-Body Medicine presents a free Mind-Body Medicine webinar presented by Toni Bankston. This webinar will cover the latest information surrounding the role of treating childhood trauma through a Mind-Body Medicine approach. This webinar was presented on July 26, 2018.

About the Webinar

Childhood Trauma is currently understood as a public health concern which is known to have far-reaching impacts on physical and mental health throughout the lifespan. Trauma is no longer seen as an oddity but a part of the lives of many people, including children and adolescents. This presentation will explore the benefits of the use of Mind-Body Medicine as a trauma-specific approach with young people in a variety of settings. Understanding that the “window” into each child is unique and that there is no “one size fits all model” approach in working with traumatized youth, the presentation will also explain the integration of Mind-Body Skills groups into a plan that includes other modalities and approaches.
