Susan R. McFadden, LCPC, has been working with children, adolescents, and adults for over 25 years. Upon completion of her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Loyola College in Baltimore, MD, she began working with in-risk and at-risk youth in Carroll, Baltimore, and Howard Counties. She continued her education and obtained a Masters of Science Degree in Counselor of Education at McDaniel College in Westminster, MD. She obtained her Maryland State License for Clinical Professional Counselor in 2011 and has been working in private counseling since 2013.
Her private practice consists of providing therapeutic services for individual children, adolescents, and adults who struggle with a wide range of mental health concerns including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, conduct disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, bipolar disorder, substance abuse issues, adjustment disorders, trauma, relationship problems, identity concerns, and career concerns. The client’s welfare is the primary concern for all sessions. Therapy approaches are dependent upon the needs of the client and which therapeutic approach will best assist the client. Therapy approaches used to assist clients have been Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Adlerian Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Reality Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, and career focused theories when appropriate. She incorporates Mind-Body Medicine Skills over the course of treatment.
