Dr. Goel is a Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician who currently works in academic medicine alongside the next generation of physicians. Dr. Goel’s passion for social justice has brought her full circle in life back to advocating for equity and justice within medicine. She currently serves as the Associate Chair for Equity Diversity and Inclusion in the Department of Pediatrics and the Director of Clinical Coaching for the University of Minnesota Medical School.
Dr. Goel earned her MD from the Medical College of Ohio and her MPH in Maternal and Child Health from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, as well as her fellowship in General Academic Pediatrics, at the University of Minnesota Medical Center. Dr. Goel’s intention is to show up fully and authentically. While not always easy, she embodies this practice to model her different vision for medicine. Mind-body medicine is at the core of all that she does, from taking care of patients to coaching residents and medical students, from working with faculty to being a wife, mother, and friend.
